How to Get started creating and rendering your own 3D images and animations for FREE!.
First - A Rendering Program:
You must get a 3D
scene/figure rendering program. The best free program out there
is Daz|Studio. Go get it and download it today! It comes
with free basic content to get you started with familiarizing yourself
with how to create a 3D scene and render it. You will need a free
registration to get it, but it is worth the effort.
Second - Basic Human Figure Models:
You need some basic
figure models. So, we hop on the digital bus and head around the
net. Our first stop is back over at Daz Productions. You want to go ahead and download Aiko 3 Base, Victoria 4 Base, and Michael 3 Base.
They are all FREE! Once you are done there, you will want to stop
by a few other places and pick up some more FREE people
models. Next stop, Studio Maya, where you will pick up MayaDoll.
She is 100% free, and you can also download some additional figure
morph items for her while you are there. Our next stop on the 3D
bus will take us to 3D Sara Creations where you can pick up the lovely Sara who is also 100% FREE. Now we head across town to the Project Human zone where we can pick up a whole family including the PH-Male, PH-Female, Adam, Britta, HIM and Behemoth. Once they are settled we head over to Content Paradise. Free registration is required, but once signed in go to their FREE content section and pick up HER, also by Sixus1.
Third - Hair:
There is only one place to go for awesome hair and that is over to Digital Babes 2 where we can get the best free hair the net has to offer for your new 3D people.
Fourth - Scenery:
Once your people have
hair, they need some place to hang out. A good place to start for
nifty buildings and scenery that is well-crafted and also FREE is at StoneMason's place. His work is reknowned for it's attention to detail and high flexibility. Download all you can from him :)
Fifth - Clothing and More:
Now that your people
have a place to hang out, they can't just stand around naked all day...
So we need clothing. My suggested first stop is at PhilC Designs.
He some basic clothing items to fit a variety of models listed for
free. Once you are done there, stop by the biggest 3D market
around, Renderosity.
Here you will not only find clothing, but just about everything else
you could possibly want, all for free! Registration is required,
but it is well worth it. And if you can't find it there, stop by
our own compilation of free-stuff from around the web.
There are literally hundreds of megabytes of free content around.
And that is just the beginning, once you get the hang of things, you
might want to join a few online clubs and start purchasing 3D content
to expand your library and your creative options even more! The
possibilities are limitless.
